We are the parish authority for the town of Chippenham. Our vision is to ensure Chippenham is a thriving community and a healthy, vibrant and attractive place in which to work, live and visit.
We have 24 councillors who represent eight wards and are elected every four years. They set the budget, decide the strategy and actions and how money is spent; each May a mayor and deputy mayor is elected, all are committed to working to provide a vibrant town centre, sustainable environment with neighbourhood and community benefits.

We provide a wide range of services, facilities and amenities including the Town Hall, Neeld Community and Arts Centre, Stanley Park sports ground, John Coles Park, Chippenham Museum and Heritage Centre, Yelde Hall and London Road Cemetery. We also provide eight community play areas, allotment sites, maintain the Millennium Wall, maintain the War Memorial and town centre CCTV, among a host of other services in our town.

Chippenham Chamber of Commerce exists to be the voice for business in Chippenham, providing an apolitical platform for consultation and the provision of business services and information. Our mission is to inspire, motivate, inform and support businesses throughout their lifecycle.

The Chamber is actively involved in the local planning process for the future development of Chippenham to help make it a great place to live work and visit. We also work closely with Chippenham Town Council and Wiltshire Council to help develop the town and its facilities in the best way to take advantage of our existing assets and provide new opportunities.

By developing new partnerships and improving communications between business, Wiltshire Council and regional agencies, we want to encourage economic growth and make Chippenham an attractive proposition for expansion and investment. Apprentice of the Year

Wiltshire College was formed in 2000 and is now, following the merger with Salisbury College in January 2008, the largest provider of further and higher education in Wiltshire, with an excellent reputation for quality provision, innovation and student care.

Spanning the county, the college consists of four main campuses; Chippenham, Lackham, Salisbury and Trowbridge, as well as three smaller outreach centres in Corsham, Devizes and Warminster and a dedicated motorsport facility based at Castle Combe.

With more than 3,000 16-18 year old full-time students, 7,500 part-time adult learners over the age of 19 and 750 university level students, Wiltshire College is an exciting place to study!

Welcoming learners of all ages and abilities, Wiltshire College believes that education should be available to all who can benefit from it, providing entry level courses to help students learn, develop and prepare themselves for independent living, work or higher level courses. The college also welcomes pre-16 learners, providing them with vocational options and access to further education.

At University level, students can choose from full and part-time HNCs, HNDs, Foundation Degrees and Full Honours degrees, delivered in partnership with the University of Bath, Royal Agricultural University, Bath Spa University, Bournemouth University and the University of Greenwich.

Wiltshire College works closely with local and regional employers, providing a wide range of professional and vocational qualifications as well as work-place learning and bespoke training packages, designed to enhance business staff skill sets and add to their continual professional development.

The college is also a major provider of apprenticeships, working with well-known employers around the region. A great alternative to traditional learning, apprenticeships give young and mature learners alike, the opportunity to earn as they work alongside experienced staff in the workplace to gain nationally recognised qualifications.

Wiltshire College also has a dedicated resettlement team for those in the Royal Navy, Army or Air Force looking to retrain and make the transition back into civilian life and provides bespoke training packages designed to make the most of Enhance Learning Credits (ELC), Standard Learning Credits (SLC) Individual Resettlement Training Costs (IRTCs) or established training courses.
